For 30 children from The Huddle, it was a day they won’t be forgetting any time soon.

Many of the Huddle participants had never visited a beach before, so when they stepped onto the sand for the very first time, there were smiles from ear to ear.

In conjunction with the Anglesea Surf Life Saving Club and Go Ride A Wave, The Huddle provided the kids a chance to catch a wave at Anglesea Main Beach and Urquhart’s Bluff.

First, they tackled the water on a boogie board, then a full-sized surfboard, as footballer turned surfing instructor Corey Wagner provided tips.
