3. Jed Anderson
North coach Brad Scott made special mention of Anderson’s performance in the post-match, with the number three providing a spark when the game was on the line.
Hard at the contest throughout the entire game, Anderson finished with 16 disposals, 8 of which were contested, 5 tackles and a goal.
5. Ben Jacobs
Jacobs had the vital role on Seb Ross, and kept him to 23 disposals, a figure the Saints’ on-baller equaled or bettered in all but three games last season.
It was Jacobs’ ability to impact the game at the same time which perhaps proved most valuable though; he had 18 touches, laid 10 tackles and kicked a goal.
22. Todd Goldstein
The North big man has found some good form in the opening two rounds of the year, and had the better of his opponent Billy Longer.
He had 16 possessions, registered 38 hit-outs and laid 5 tackles in an impressive display.
25. Robbie Tarrant
North’s general in the back half was rock-solid as always, and had an impact going the other way; he had 18 disposals, took 6 marks and rebounded from defensive 50 on 4 occasions, to go with 7 one percenters.
30. Jarrad Waite
24 possessions, 13 marks, 13 inside 50s; it’s a stat line any key-forward would be proud of.
Waite was terrific all day, also registering 5 hit-outs and 6 tackles along the way.
39. Billy Hartung
The former Hawk has had a big impact in his first two outings for a new club.
Out of all the on-ballers, he and Shaun Higgins spent the most time on the ground, illustrating his running capacity.
He finished with 24 touches, 9 marks, 4 inside 50s and a rare left foot goal.
50. Ben Brown
The big man turned the game in North’s favour with 3 goals in the premiership quarter, and finished with 6 for the match.
He’s now kicked bags of 7, 6 and 6 amongst his last eight games.
