Only one player from the North side did enough to impress the coaches on Saturday night in Cairns and it was none other than, Jack Ziebell.

The Roos' skipper had 21 disposals and two goals in horrendous conditions at Cazalys Stadium - enough to earn him a solitary vote in the AFLCA Champion of the Year award.

Suns Jarrod Harbrow and Aaron Young topped the list with seven votes apiece.
