North Melbourne has welcomed New Balance as an official partner for the 2018 season.
New Balance has been manufacturing sporting goods for more than 100 years and aims to produce functional and fashionable products.
Through the new deal, the club’s players and coaches will be provided with New Balance shoes to help their performance through leading footwear technology.
GM Football Cameron Joyce said the team would benefit greatly from the New Balance deal.
“We want our players in the best, most supportive and leading footwear on the market so we are thrilled to be able to provide them all with the latest New Balance range,” he said.
“New Balance is an elite sports brand we are delighted to be partnering with them for the upcoming season.”
A prominent North player will be announced as a New Balance brand ambassador in the coming weeks.
“We take our job to aid athletes in their pursuit of excellence very seriously,” New Balance Key Account Manager Dave Thorn said.
“Our products are the perfect blend of function and fashion, and will give the North players the performance technology they need and the style they want.
“We are committed to developing products that are technically led and aim to provide the support required for elite performance.”
North defender Sam Wright has been wearing New Balance shoes during his recovery from a foot injury after a podiatrist recommended them to him.
“They’re by far the most comfortable and supportive sports shoe on the market,” Wright said.
