The North Melbourne list took to the track on Wednesday with all eyes firmly set on the Good Friday Kick for the Kids blockbuster against St Kilda.

With only a six-day break, and after playing in some of the toughest conditions possible, the Roos’ squad enjoyed a relatively light session on Wednesday, with some light skills work being followed by positioning and match-sense scenarios.

Spirits were high and there were plenty of laughs shared as the boys enjoyed some competitive skills work, with Marley Williams in particular showing off his penetrating left foot.

There was a special visitor at today’s session, with five-year-old Jacob Vanderwaal, a patient at the Royal Children’s Hospital, being taken on a tour of the training ground by games-record holder Brent Harvey.

North Media followed Jacob's journey, with a video to be posted on the website and app in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Mason Wood trained with a point to prove, after missing out on selection for last weekend’s season-opener.

The young forward was one of the Roos' hardest workers in the match-sense drills.

Declan Mountford looked strong during the main training session, and having made his return to the VFL side on Saturday, will be no doubt pushing for senior selection in the coming weeks.

Kyron Hayden also looked impressive as he increases his workload following shoulder surgery.

Hayden’s recovery has been extremely positive, and he is hopeful of a return to full training soon.
