The dreams of 36 AFLW hopefuls are a step closer to reality with invitations to the Draft Combine confirmed on Thursday.
The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos have Tasmania as an exclusive recruiting zone so twins Chloe and Libby Haines, who currently play for Burnie in the Tasmanian State League Women’s (TSLW), may find their way to Arden St.
Meanwhile competition for Victorian-based talent will be hot with the introduction of North and Geelong in the 2019 competition.
North currently has picks 25, 36 and 62 after trading picks 12 and 47 to Melbourne in the expansion signing period.
The trial will take place on October 2nd and 3rd, at Etihad Stadium with the players’ fitness and skills heavily scrutinised ahead of the Draft on the 18th.
