North Melbourne champion Brent Harvey will be the premiership cup ambassador for 2017.
Harvey played an AFL-record 432 games, all for North Melbourne. With the Kangaroos not taking part in September action, West Coast and Sydney are two of the teams he will follow.
"Definitely a soft spot for Drew Petrie playing at the West Coast Eagles. Obviously Adam Simpson's there, Daniel Pratt, Brady Rawlings, so I've got a pretty good contingent of North Melbourne people at the West Coast Eagles, and it would be a bit of a fairy tale for Drew to finish on a premiership. I'd love to see that," Harvey said.
"Also at the Sydney Swans, two ex-teammates John Longmire and Johnny Blakey are up there as well."
Mick Malthouse will present the Jock McHale Medal and James Hird the Norm Smith Medal.
