Jess Duffin’s exceptional start to the season continues to be recognised, named one of three North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos’ players in the AFLW Team of the Week.
Moving to a deeper role since making the switch to Arden Street, Duffin has excelled as a rebound defender, highlighted by her 23 disposals and 11 marks at Avalon Airport Oval last weekend.
Duffin is the only player in the competition to be selected in the Team of the Week in every round of season proper, featuring for five consecutive weeks.
The defender was arguably the Roos’ best against Adelaide, alongside captain Emma Kearney, who finished the afternoon with 31 disposals.
Kaitlyn Ashmore was the third North player to earn selection, listed on the interchange alongside Kearney, after taking nine marks and booting a goal against the Crows.
