With defenders returning from injury and some standout performances in the VFL, a number of players will have their eye on senior selection in Round 7.
North Media takes a look at those in the mix for the clash with Carlton.
Defenders
After recovering from a bout of pneumonia, Ben McKay is a chance return the North backline this week, with a potential match-up on twin brother Harry on the cards.
After missing the last four weeks with an ankle injury, Marley Williams could return to the fold this weekend.
Midfielders
Shaun Higgins has overcome a virus and looks a certain starter.
Jy Simpkin and Paul Ahern both responded to their omission from the senior team in emphatic fashion, collecting 33 disposals apiece. Both are strong chances for an immediate recall.
Bailey Scott was another omitted for the Port Adelaide game, but pushed his case with 18 disposals in his return to the VFL.
Tom Campbell has been a stand-out in the VFL in the opening four rounds, and he starred once again, amassing 26 disposals and 25 hit-outs.
After developing a tagging role so far in 2019, Kyron Hayden leads the VFL for tackles. The 19-year-old was named as an emergency for Round 6, as he edges closer to a senior debut.
Forwards
Taylor Garner continues to build fitness in the VFL, and could be close to a senior recall.
Curtis Taylor is another who’s been impressive, kicking two goals and catching the eye with his ability to hit targets on Saturday.
