North Melbourne is looking to recognise its most loyal supporters, establishing a ‘Shinboner of the Week’ award.
The award will acknowledge the club’s members that bleed royal blue and white, and fans are encouraged to nominate members they believe deserve some recognition.
The ‘Shinboner of the Week’ will win a signed guernsey as a sign of appreciation.
The inaugural winner is 20-year member Gladys Thompson.
Nominated by her daughter, Deb, Gladys is a Shinboner through and through.

I would like to nominate my Mum, she has true Shinboner Spirit.
Mum has been supporting Kangas since she was a little girl as she grew up in North Melbourne.
Mum is now 88 and wont miss a game she goes to the footy rain, hail or sunshine.
What I love is that she brings along her thermos and home-made cakes for half time treat, she always shares her teats with other members we sit with who also look forward to her home made treats.
Mum is a real Shinboner who lives for the royal blue and white boys
