North Melbourne will take five new faces into its season-opener against Fremantle.

The final 22 was named on Friday, with Bailey Scott joined by Jared Polec, Aaron Hall, Dom Tyson and Jasper Pittard as confirmed debutants for the Roos.

Tarryn Thomas took an important step forward in his development, named as an emergency alongside Paul Ahern, Nathan Hrovat and Nick Larkey.

The North team will make the trip west on Saturday following an 11.30am open training session at Arden Street.
