With North Melbourne’s AFL and VFL sides enjoying a bye last weekend, the majority of players will be feeling fresh and ready ahead of a big Saturday night clash with Collingwood.
North Media takes a look at those in the mix for selection.
Defenders
Jamie Macmillan seems most likely to earn a recall should he pass a fitness test. The leadership group member almost overcoming a calf complaint which has kept him out for the last two games.
Ben McKay was a strong performer in a disappointing day last time out for North VFL, collecting 14 disposals and taking 8 marks.
Tom Murphy has impressed since his return from injury, and this continued last time out as he had 15 disposals off half-back.
Midfielders
Paul Ahern and Kyron Hayden have been in impressive in the VFL, and were travelling emergencies for the clash with the Giants in Round 13.
Tom Campbell has arguably been North VFL’s best player in 2019, and seems to put himself in the mix each week with his strong performances. He had 23 disposals, 21 hitouts and a goal against Frankston.
Forwards
Lachie Hosie has hit the ground running since the mid-season draft, and has put his hand up again with another exciting performance in the forward line. He had 11 disposals and a goal.
Nathan Hrovat has been a consistent performer, and has found himself on the fringes of the senior team throughout the season.
Curtis Taylor has shown glimpses of his exciting talent, and was named as a travelling emergency against the Suns, before picking up 17 disposals in the VFL last time out.
