The Western Bulldogs could recall ruckman Will Minson in a bid to curb the the impact of the Roos’ talls on Saturday night.

“He’ll be considered. North are a tall side and they look for those opportunities to take marks all over the ground,” Bulldogs’ coach Luke Beveridge said.

“We were OK late last year (against North’s talls), but the first time around this year (Round 6) they were a bit too strong for us, so we’ll definitely consider Will and how that works with the rest of our make-up and our talls.”

Jordan Roughead has shouldered the ruck duties for much of the year and could welcome Minson’s inclusion, but the strong form of Tom Boyd as a pinch-hit ruckmen against Geelong may make him a viable option going forward.

Dale Morris and Matthew Boyd are set to be recalled from injury, but Beveridge said Matt Suckling is “touch and go”.

Injuries to Tom Liberatore and Jackson Macrae mean the Bulldogs could look to the VFL for reinforcements.

“Nathan Hrovat and Lukas Webb and Bailey Dale and Will (Minson) … there’s some boys who can definitely come into the side and help us on our way,” Beveridge said.

The last meeting between the two sides was a top-of-the-table clash in Round 6. 14 weeks later, they round out the top eight.

With just four games remaining and only one win separating eighth (North) from second (the Giants), every win is vital.

“They are all significantly important, but we’ve lost two in a row now and we want to start winning again,” Beveridge added.

“Whether it’s North Melbourne, or Collingwood, or Essendon, or Fremantle, which are our last four games, we see them all as important as each other.

“The Kangaroos have been a very good side this year and they’ll test us.”
