Robbie Tarrant has been handed a $1,500 fine for striking the Dockers' Shane Kersten during the final quarter of Sunday's game.

Robbie Tarrant, North Melbourne, has been charged with striking Shane Kersten, Fremantle, during the fourth quarter of the Round 16 match between North Melbourne and Fremantle, played at Etihad Stadium on Sunday July 9, 2017.

In summary, he can accept a $1000 sanction with an early plea.

Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the North Melbourne Football Club, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with low impact to the head.
