Post-season summary
A busy post-season is now done and dusted with the conclusion of the Rookie Draft.
In addition to the new coaching appointments of Leigh Tudor, Gavin Brown and Ben Dyer, North Melbourne also made seven changes to its playing list through free agency and the drafts.
The marquee addition was Nick Dal Santo from St Kilda via free agency. The 29-year-old will bring 260 games of experience to North and boost its midfield stocks significantly.
In the delisted free agent period, Robin Nahas found a new club. A small-forward, he played 83 games for Richmond over five seasons and kicked 100 goals.
The National Draft saw the arrival of a midfielder in Trent Dumont and a versatile big man in Ben Brown selected, while Luke McDonald was confirmed as a father/son selection.
Dumont was one of the best afield in the 2013 SANFL Grand Final, while Brown was impressive for Kangaroos' affiliate Werribee in his first season at the club.
McDonald's arrival came as no surprise, with the son of former player and current staff member having trained at the club regularly this year.
Finally in the Rookie Draft, Joel Tippett and Kayne Turner were selected.
According to North recruiting manager Bryce Lewis, key-defender Tippett was recruited on a needs basis, essentially replacing Luke Delaney who was traded to St Kilda. At 67 kilograms, Turner's frame is slight, but he looms as an exciting prospect for the future with his fierce attack on the ball.
