North’s VFL side will continue its preparation ahead of the home-and-away season, with the group playing in a practice match against Coburg.
A mixture of AFL and VFL-listed players will hit Arden Street on Saturday, with many of the AFL players looking to work their way into contention for a Round 2 berth.
Paul Ahern and Braydon Preuss will be in action once again, while Mason Wood will look to find form after missing out on Round 1 selection, and Declan Mountford will have his first run following shoulder surgery last month.
As for the VFL-listed players, co-captain and former Brisbane Lions player Michael Close will have his first run in the blue and white, while ex-Sydney Swan Tyrone Leonardis will too be given a chance to show what he’s capable of.
Steve Stroobants, Jordan Harper, Louis Cunningham and Nick Rippon are also set to feature.
Fans are invited to attend Saturday’s practice match, with the first bounce at approximately 2.00pm.
