North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos superstar Jasmine Garner has capped off another incredible season by being crowned the 2024 Club Champion.

Garner topped Thursday night's best and fairest count with 211 votes, just days after being judged best afield in the Kangaroos’ history-making AFLW premiership win.

Ash Riddell (193) finished runner-up, followed by third-placed Sarah Wright (160), while Mia King (144) and Ruby Tripodi (136) rounded out the top five.

One of the competition’s most decorated players, it is the third consecutive season Garner has taken out the club’s top honour and the fifth time overall.

Garner joins AFL great Brent Harvey as the only other Kangaroo to claim five club best and fairest awards.

The 30-year-old, who recently collected her seventh All-Australian blazer, averaged 26.7 disposals, 7.6 tackles, 6.3 clearances and a goal across her 14 games in 2024.

Garner also won player-voted Shinboner of the Year award for her embodiment of the club's values – real, bold, belonging and never beaten – and the fan-voted Mazda Next Level Performer award.

Runner-up Ash Riddell led the Kangaroos’ engine room alongside Garner again in 2024.

One of the competition’s most prolific ball winners, Riddell averaged a team-high 29.3 disposals, including 30-plus on eight occasions.

The 28-year-old was also awarded Best Clubwoman in recognition of her team-first approach on and off the field.

Wright finished third following a career-best campaign, which saw her included in the All-Australian squad for the first time.

An important cog in the Kangaroos’ stingy defence, the 30-year-old led the team for intercept possessions and spoils.

Ruby Tripodi was named the club’s Best Young Player in her second season in the royal blue and white.

After missing out on the Kangaroos’ finals campaign in 2023, the 23-year-old was one of the big improvers in 2024, becoming a mainstay of the midfield.

Voting system
The senior coach rates each player out of 10 points, and the assistant coaches provide a combined rating for each player out of 10, making 20 points the maximum votes a player can receive in any game across the season, including finals.
