The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos head to Casey to face Melbourne as their heavyweight start to the AFLW season continues.

The Roos remain undefeated after drawing with Cats last weekend, but will hope to recapture the form they showed in their week one victory over Brisbane against the Demons.

The opposition

After edging out the Cats in Week 1 to win by two points, the Dees suffered their first loss of the season to reigning premiers Brisbane, going down by three goals last weekend.

Kate Hore kicked a goal from her 10 disposals and poses as an attacking threat for North Melbourne's backline, while Melbourne's Irish pair Sinead Goldrick (20 disposals) and Blaithin Mackin (19) were solid in the defeat to the Lions.

Milestone watch

Sarah Wright and Bella Eddey will become the third and fourth Roos in 2024 to celebrate 50 AFLW appearances when they run out onto the ground at Casey Fields on Sunday.

Defender Wright made her debut for North Melbourne back in the opening round of the 2020 season, while small forward Eddey started later, kicking a goal in her 2021 debut.
