North Melbourne young gun Zane Duursma has been nominated as a finalist for the 2024 Virgin Australia Mark of the Year.
Duursma earned a nomination for his massive grab in North Melbourne's 13-point win over Richmond in Round 21.
The No.4 pick from the 2023 AFL Draft launched himself onto Richmond defender Noah Balta's shoulders during the second quarter and stirred the crowd with one of the best plucks of the season.
Duursma is up against marks from Collingwood pair Jamie Elliott (in Round 7) and Bobby Hill (Round 14) for this year's prize.
The 2024 Virgin Australia Mark of the Year winner will receive $50,000 and two million Velocity Points – enough Points for two people to redeem return Business Class Reward Seats to over 500 destinations around the world.
Voting is now open, with the overall winner determined by a combination of votes from the AFL All-Australian Panel and the public. The winner will be announced at the 2024 Brownlow Medal on Monday, September 23.
