The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos have finalised their Week 1 team for Sunday's blockbuster clash against Brisbane at Brighton Homes Arena on Sunday afternoon.

After missing last season to pursue an Olympic opportunity with Ireland, forward Vikki Wall returns for her first League appearance since 2022 Season 7's preliminary final against Melbourne.

As confirmed on Thursday night, off-season trade acquisition Libby Birch will make her debut for the club in North Melbourne's season opener.

The defender lines up alongside 2023 All-Australian squad member Jasmine Ferguson as the side's deepest backs.

A strong pre-season has seen young midfielder Ruby Tripodi selected. She'll start on the interchange bench with Wall, Emma King, Amy Smith and Sarah Wright.

Named on the half-back flank and on the ball respectively, Nicole Bresnehan and Mia King will play their 50th AFLW games.

Emma Kearney and Emma King are also set to bring up the 75-game milestone.

Liz McGrath, Zoe Savarirayan and Lucy Burke are the Roos' three emergencies.
