Gun defender Nicole Bresnehan is set to return to action, after being selected in the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos' team for Saturday's official AFLW practice match against the GWS Giants.

A hamstring injury restricted Bresnehan during the pre-season, and kept her sidelined for last weekend's match simulation training against St Kilda.

She is named on the half-backline for Saturday's match, which fans can stream LIVE on nmfc.com.au and the North Melbourne Official App from 11am AEST.

Young guns Taylah Gatt, Ruby Tripodi, Niamh Martin and Zoe Savarirayan will be among the Kangaroos hoping to build on the form they showed against the Saints.

Tall Emma King will start in the forward line as she looks to add to her pre-season goal tally, after kicking three against the Saints.

Emma Kearney will lead out the Roos, having been voted captain by her teammates for the seventh consecutive season, alongside vice-captain and four-time club champion Jasmine Garner.

Trade arrival Libby Birch is another senior Kangaroo who will be watching on, as she continues her recovery from an MCL injury.
