Bailey Scott has signed a two-year contract extension on the eve of his 100th AFL game, ensuring he will remain at North Melbourne until at least the end of 2026.
A father-son selection, Scott arrived at Arden Street via pick No.49 in the 2018 AFL Draft.
The hard-running 24-year-old was named the club’s Best Young Player in 2020, before earning back-to-back third place finishes in the Syd Barker Medal voting in 2022 and 2023.
In 2024, Scott was appointed to the side’s leadership group for the first time and has featured in every game this season, averaging more than 20 disposals off half-back and on the wing.
"We’re rapt to have Bailey recommit to the club," North Melbourne head of football talent Brady Rawlings said.
"He not only plays an important role for us on-field but also off the field, driving high standards with his professionalism and dedication.
"We look forward to watching him take his game even further over the next two years."
Scott’s father Robert (Shinboner No.841) played 113 games for the club from 1995-2000, including in the 1996 premiership.
Scott is the fourth AFL player to extend his time at Arden Street over the past month, joining Cam Zurhaar (signed on until 2029), Paul Curtis (2028) and Jackson Archer (2026), and is the 10th overall this year.
