North Melbourne defender Jackson Archer has signed a two-year contract extension, continuing his career at Arden Street until at least the end of 2026.

Archer was taken with pick No.59 as a father-son selection in the 2021 AFL Draft.

After injuries restricted him to only eight AFL games across his first two seasons at Arden Street, the 21-year-old has made himself a regular in the Roos' backline in 2024, playing 11 of the last 12 games.

"We’re rapt to add Jackson to the growing list of players to recommit to the club this year," North Melbourne head of football talent Brady Rawlings said.

"He has great determination and an uncompromising attack on the footy, and he’s proving to be a tough opponent at senior level.

"We look forward to watching him continue his development at Arden Street over the next couple of years."

Archer joins Harry Sheezel, Cameron Zurhaar, Tristan Xerri, Charlie Comben, Tom Powell, Brayden George, Eddie Ford and Kallan Dawson as players to recommit to the club this year.
