Key defender Griffin Logue and small forward Robert Hansen jnr have both been named to play their first senior games of the 2024 season.

Logue has three games of VFL under his belt since his return to action on June 23, and will see his first AFL minutes in 378 days when he runs out onto Marvel Stadium on Sunday.

A strong run of form in the reserves has seen Hansen jnr earn a call-up. He joins the side following an impressive two-goal and 16-disposal display last weekend against the Swans at Tramway Oval.

Rounding out the inclusions is Zac Fisher, who notched 27 touches alongside Logue and Hansen jnr in the Reserves' five-point win.

In addition to the Thursday omissions of Kallan Dawson and Curtis Taylor, Toby Pink also makes way.

On the interchange bench for the Blues bout are Liam Shiels, Dylan Stephens, Fisher, Tom Powell and Hansen jnr, with one of the five to be locked in as the substitute an hour before Sunday's 4.40pm opening bounce.

Jaidyn Stephenson, Will Phillips and Pink are this week's emergencies.

Kangaroos fans are encouraged to head across town to Port Melbourne before Sunday's match, to support the club's VFLW team in their first ever Grand Final. The opening bounce at ETU Stadium is at 12.10pm, giving fans plenty of time to get to Marvel Stadium.
