Former Blue Zac Fisher is among five potential inclusions for Sunday's match against Carlton.

The defender, who has missed the past two matches with a foot injury, has been named in the Kangaroos' extended squad to play the second-placed Blues.

Joining Fisher in the squad of 26 are Robert Hansen jnr and Griffin Logue, who could be in line for their first games of the season when the selected team is finalised on Friday afternoon at 5pm AEST.

10:00

Big defender Logue has played three games at VFL level as he regains match fitness following his year-long lay-off due to an ACL injury.

Hansen jnr put himself in the frame to add to his two senior games, both played in 2023, with an eye-catching two-goal performance in the Reserves' thrilling win over Sydney last weekend

Dynamic forward Jaidyn Stephenson has also been named in the extended squad, along with Will Phillips, who carved out a new role as a tagger as the Kangaroos' form improved after the mid-season bye.

Kal Dawson and Curtis Taylor have been omitted this week.

Kangaroos fans are encouraged to head across town to Port Melbourne before Sunday's match, to support the club's VFLW team in their first ever grand final. The opening bounce at ETU Stadium is at 12.10pm, giving fans plenty of time to get to Marvel Stadium for the 4.40pm bout with the Blues.
