North Melbourne’s Eddie Ford will remain at the club until at least the end of 2025 after signing a one-year contract extension.

An exciting, high-flying medium forward, Ford was selected from the Western Jets with pick No.56 in the 2020 AFL Draft.

The 22-year-old has since kicked 30 goals from his 36 appearances in the royal blue and white, including a career-high 14 across 14 games in 2024.

He earned a Rising Star nomination in the final round of 2023 for his three-goal, 19-disposal and eight-mark performance against Gold Coast.

North Melbourne head of football talent Brady Rawlings said the club was excited have another up-and-coming player in Ford re-sign.

“We’re excited to have to have Eddie sign on for 2025,” Rawlings said.

“Since establishing himself as a regular member of our senior line-up, Eddie has brought plenty of energy to our front half and shown his ability to play a few different roles and impact the scoreboard.

“We look forward to watching him continue his development at Arden Street.”

Ford becomes the seventh Roo to re-sign this year, joining Harry Sheezel, Tristan Xerri, Charlie Comben, Tom Powell, Brayden George and Kallan Dawson to commit to the club beyond this season.
