North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos forward Bella Eddey has signed a one-year contract extension to remain in the royal blue and white until at least the end of 2025.
Eddey has played all 47 possible games since arriving at Arden Street as the Kangaroos’ first selection in the 2020 AFLW Draft.
After being named the club’s best young player in 2022, the 22-year-old settled in the Kangaroos’ attacking 50 in 2023 to boot a career-high eight goals for the season.
A good decision-maker and a reliable kick, Eddey helped propel the side to its preliminary final berth with 12 disposals, five tackles and two majors in the qualifying final against Melbourne.
She was also elevated to the side’s leadership group ahead of the 2023 season, becoming the youngest member at just 21.
“We are thrilled to have Bella sign on until at least end of 2025,” North Melbourne AFLW list manager Flynn Loft said.
“Bella is an important member of our young core and continues to make great strides in her game.
“She has also made a great impact off-field too, as a much-loved figure around the club.
“We look forward to watching her continue to develop as a player and a leader over the next couple of years.”
Eddey becomes the fifth Roo to extend their stay at Arden Steet this year, joining fellow young guns Alice O’Loughlin and Taylah Gatt (2025) and tall duo Tahlia Randall and Kim Rennie (2026).
