kangaroos.com.au says

The older Delaney brother built on his 2011 by playing 13 games in his second season on the senior list.

The year was punctuated by several first-class performances. In his first game for the year, he played a major part in the victory over Geelong by shutting Tom Hawkins out of the game which was no mean feat as Hawkins' performances later in the year showed.

Then in Round 14, he limited Justin Koschitzke to just three handballs in a superb defensive effort. However Delaney was often the odd man out when the trio of Nathan Grima, Scott Thompson and Michael Firrito was fit. Otherwise he would have been a consistent fixture in North's back six.
