After a 70-point win against Richmond, it’s sure to be an interesting week at the selection table.

Sam Wright has been ruled out with an ankle injury, meaning there’ll be at least one change, while Todd Goldstein has expressed his confidence in returning from knee soreness.

The strong performance of Majak Daw as a sole ruckman makes for an interesting dilemma, while several other players pushed their case in the VFL.

NMFC.com.au looks at those in the mix for a call-up.

Have your say on the potential changes below.

Midfielders

Take it to the bank – if Goldstein is declared fit, he’ll come straight back in but North won’t be taking any risks, especially given the impressive form of Daw last week.

Trent Dumont was Werribee’s best on Sunday with 32 disposals and looks ready for another opportunity, while draftee Ryan Clarke also racked up 32.

Defenders

With Wright out, it could open the door for the return of Aaron Mullett.

The raking left-footer finished with 30 touches and 8 marks in the VFL, and was a solid contributor in his last senior game three weeks ago.

Should the Roos opt to go tall, Lachie Hansen is waiting in the wings after playing his first game back from concussion.

Joel Tippett is another awaiting his chance after some good form at the Tigers.

Forwards

Taylor Garner received plenty of praise for his first game back after an extended spell with a hamstring injury but may need another game before being considered.

The small-forward was described as “an AFL player playing in the VFL” by Development Manager Ben Dyer.

Corey Wagner is doing plenty right at VFL level, snagging three goals over the weekend. His forward pressure was described as “manic” by Dyer which will hold him in good stead.
