Aidan Corr’s pre-season has been dealt a setback, with the defender suffering a significant ankle sprain injury last Friday.

The 29-year-old injured his ankle during a training session at the team’s Gold Coast pre-season camp.

After consultation with a specialist, it was decided no surgery is required and Corr will remain in a moonboot while his symptoms settle.

He will continue to rehab the injury over the upcoming Christmas break with the aim to return to a modified training program in January.

In other injury news, Tarryn Thomas underwent a procedure a fortnight ago to assist in improving his groin soreness.

An exact timeframe on the midfielder’s return to full training is yet to be confirmed although the injury is progressing well, with the club expecting to have him back running in the short term.
