The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos’ nominees for the 2023 Most Valuable Player award have been revealed by the AFL Players’ Association.

Captain Emma Kearney and star midfield duo Jasmine Garner and Ash Riddell are the three Roos who have been put forward by their teammates for the award. 

Garner, who claimed the award in 2020, has led the Kangaroos’ engine room in 2023 together with Riddell. They are ranked No.1 and No.2 in the competition for disposals with an average of 31 and 29 per game, respectively.

Kearney has been a key cog in the Kangaroos' defence with an average of 20 disposals and seven intercept possessions off half-back. 

The Kangaroos’ nominees for the AFLPA’s Best First Year Player, Most Courageous Player and Best Captain awards will be revealed on Monday, November 27. 

All winners will be announced on the evening of Tuesday, November 28.
