North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos quartet Emma Kearney, Jasmine Garner, Ash Riddell and Jasmine Ferguson have been named in the 2023 AFLW All-Australian squad of 42.

Kearney is in line to extend her unmatched streak of All-Australian honours to eight, while last season’s All-Australian captain Garner is vying for a sixth selection in the final team after being crowned the AFL Coaches Association AFLW Champion Player of the Year for a third time.

Joining them in the squad are Riddell and Ferguson.

Riddell ranked No.1 in the competition for disposals across the home-and-away season, placing her in good stead for what would be her third All-Australian nod.

A crucial cog in arguably the competition’s stingiest defence, Ferguson has been recognised by the selection panel for the first time with her inclusion in the squad.

The 2023 AFLW All-Australian team of 21 will be announced at the W Awards on Monday, November 27.

The selection panel includes Nicole Livingstone (Chair), Andrew Dillon, Laura Kane, Jason Bennett, Kelli Underwood, Sarah Black, Katie Loynes, Narelle Smith and Megan Waters.
