North Melbourne's first-to-fourth-year players, and a handful of experienced Roos, officially returned to Arden Street on Monday morning for their first session of the 2024 pre-season.
Off-season acquisition and former top-five draft selection Dylan Stephens impressed by topping the pack in the 1.8km shuttle run.
The former Swan managed 43 games across his four seasons at Sydney, and is set to add some outside pace and class when he lines up for North Melbourne next year.
Close behind Stephens was co-captain Jy Simpkin in second place, followed by Darcy Tucker in third and 2023 Syd Barker medallist Harry Sheezel in fourth.
Sixth-year Roo Bailey Scott, who enjoyed another strong individual campaign last season, rounded out the top five.
Blake Drury, Tom Powell, Brayden George, Tarryn Thomas, Luke McDonald, Charlie Comben, Luke Davies-Uniacke and Jackson Archer didn't feature in the shuttle run but all took part in other exercises.
Recruits Toby Pink and Bigoa Nyuon also went through their first official training run as Kangaroos.
