Shaun Higgins has been recalled after missing Round 6 due to illness, while four other inclusions will be pushing for selection on Friday.

The North squad, presented by The Wharf Hotel, was named on Thursday, with Higgins in the centre and Marley Williams, Taylor Garner, Jy Simpkin and Tom Campbell among an extended interchange bench.

Williams last played in Round 2, before missing four games with an ankle injury, while Garner hasn’t lined up in the AFL since Round 22, 2017.

North’s number six played 18 games in that season and was among the Roos’ most dangerous forwards, before injury sidelined him throughout 2018. 

Simpkin racked up 33 disposals in the VFL last week, with Campbell has been the dominant ruckman in the state league in recent weeks.

Aaron Hall has been omitted.
