With four rounds remaining, the battle for spots is just as competitive as ever.

North Media takes a look at those in the mix for the Round 20 clash with the Hawks. 

Defenders 

Ben McKay has been solid VFL form of late, and could be set for another crack at AFL level.

Scott Thompson missed last weekend’s trip to Perth with a ruptured testicle, but is a chance to return after training on Tuesday. 

While Shaun Atley is keen to prove his fitness after hurting his knee, his availability will be key to selection.

Midfielders

Big man Tom Campbell’s impressive VFL form has seen him rewarded with a new two-year deal, and he remains in the frame for a senior recall. 

Tristan Xerri continues to develop in the VFL, and could be in the frame for a late-season debut. 

Forwards

Lachie Hosie continues to create goal-scoring opportunities in the VFL, and although his accuracy let him down on the weekend, with 2.6, he might just be close to a call-up. 

Nathan Hrovat was the travelling emergency against Essendon, and is right in the mix. 

Curtis Taylor remains a strong chance for a recall after playing two AFL games this season, and he continues to catch the eye in the VFL.

Kayne Turner was given a rest against the Eagles, and is sure to be in contention for an immediate recall.
