The Roos will play a double header against Richmond and Hawthorn on Friday night and the modified rules were clearly on the players minds.
Throughout the two hour session there were several cries of 'Supergoal!' after a few torpedoes were unleashed.
Competition for spots in the 34 man squad is high and with that in mind, it was no surprise so see the younger players hardest at it.
Malcolm Lynch showed some surprising body strength, managing to dispose of the ball despite being tackled heavily by Levi Greenwood. Ben Mabon was also impressive in ruck duels against Todd Goldstein and Hamish McIntosh.
Another welcome sight was Tom Curran walking around Aegis Park without his moon-boot on for one of the first times since he was picked in the National Draft.
