The 27-year-old livewire continues to stake his claim for senior promotion, kicking eight goals in the last two weeks for VFL affiliate North Ballarat.
Nahas said his sole focus is to continue to play consistent football and attract the attention of the coaching staff.
“I’m not going to worry about that (elevation to the senior list), I’m just going to play good football – that’s the coach’s job,” Nahas told NMFC.com.au on Wednesday.
“It’s just good to be playing footy again. (I) missed a lot last year so just to be back playing, I’m pretty excited about that, whether it’s (with) North Ballarat or North Melbourne.
“I’m just here to repay the faith.”

At his media conference on Monday, senior coach Brad Scott said the club will “think about” elevating a rookie ahead of the regular season after draftee Daniel Nielson ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament.
“We haven’t come to a final decision yet,” Scott said.
“Picking the team is the first thing and then if we need to make any elevations, we will.”
Nahas, who had surgery to repair a dislocated AC joint after the round 14 clash against Melbourne last season, said his prolonged absence was “painful and a long wait”.
“It was just disappointing because I knew how good this group was and I knew we were going to play finals, and I was really looking forward to that part of football,” he said.
The 176cm speedster said he is aiming to develop the defensive aspect of his game to increase his chances of adding to his 91-game AFL tally, which includes eight matches at North.
“Offense they (the coaches) are not too worried about, it’s just being able to lay that defensive pressure (and) tackles,” Nahas said.
“I’ve come here to be a defensive forward and I know that’s my role within the side, but I enjoy kicking my goals.”
No worries for Nahas
