A handful of Roos will be hoping to land a spot on the plane that will jet off to Perth for Sunday's match against West Coast.

Having recovered from a second concussion this season, co-captain Jy Simpkin is likely to be a lock when it comes to team selection later in the week.

The midfielder has spent the past two weeks watching from the sidelines following a blow to the head against the Cats in Round 17 and could be Sunday's only inclusion with Liam Shiels making way due to a calf strain.

A late withdrawal for Round 19's clash with the Saints due to back tightness, Charlie Lazzaro will raise his hand for an immediate recall should he prove his fitness prior to selection.

Tom Powell and Flynn Perez also face fitness tests before determining their availability. A knee/ITB issue has kept out Powell since Round 14, while Perez will be looking to return after two weeks off with a knee injury.

Experienced onballer Hugh Greenwood remains in the frame after being an emergency last week.

He earned two VFL coaches' votes after notching 24 disposals, 13 tackles, 11 clearances and a goal against Box Hill in the VFL side's latest match and would add some grunt to the midfield if recalled for Sunday.

Robert Hansen jnr could also be considered for a senior debut in his home state of Western Australia.

The dynamic forward was added to the squad for the first time last week, after arriving at Arden Street as pick No.2 in the 2023 mid-season draft in May.
