An injury-ravaged North Melbourne will be forced to make at least six changes for Saturday's Sir Doug Nicholls Round clash with the Swans at Marvel Stadium.
Luke Davies-Uniacke (hamstring), Darcy Tucker (hamstring), Cam Zurhaar (cheekbone) and Flynn Perez (concussion) will all miss this weekend following Round 9's bruising encounter with Port Adelaide, while Jack Mahony's season has been cut short after damaging his shoulder in an awkward landing at Blundstone Arena.
Aidan Corr has also been ruled out for Round 10 after accepting a one-week suspension for striking Power forward Ollie Lord in Hobart.
Pick No.2 from the 2022 mid-season draft Kallan Dawson could be considered to take Corr's spot as the third tall defender, but Sydney's current shortage of key position options may see North Melbourne coach Alastair Clarkson and the match committee opt for a smaller replacement.
With Josh Goater (knee), Lachie Young (concussion) and Jackson Archer (groin) all unavailable, veteran Aaron Hall shapes as a potential inclusion after a stretch of standout VFL performances. The pacey rebounder collected six inside 50s, four marks and an equal game-high 30 disposals in the reserves' 75-point win over the Dolphins.
Callum Coleman-Jones did all he could in the reserves to earn another AFL appearance after missing out last week, booting nine goals and amassing 22 disposals, 12 marks and 12 hitouts. Adding his height to the North Melbourne forward line could exploit Sydney's undersized defence that is currently without Tom and Patrick McCartin, and Dane Rampe.
Daniel Howe (28 disposals, nine marks), Ben Cunnington (24, seven clearances) and Will Phillips (19, nine tackles) were solid contributors against Frankston, as was draftee George Wardlaw (19, two goals) who is firmly in the frame for a senior debut given the team's extensive injury list.
Young midfielder Tom Powell has missed consecutive games due to an ankle injury but may recover in time for selection on Thursday, while Paul Curtis is likely to retain his spot despite sustaining a corked quad against the Power.
Unused last weekend as an AFL travelling emergency, Eddie Ford is yet to appear in the seniors this season but stands as a possible replacement for either Mahony or Zurhaar down forward.
