Over the course of North Melbourne's current six-game winning streak the plaudits for Scott Thompson have grown and it came to a head with his excellent performance on Saturday night at Etihad Stadium.

He held Travis Cloke to just three behinds and 11 possessions and his reward was a perfect 10 votes from Brad Scott and Nathan Buckley.

Collingwood was kept to its lowest score of the season and Thompson, along with Luke Delaney, was a big factor.

In the midfield Brent Harvey continued his stellar form with another six votes. He collected a team-high 33 possessions at a staggering 91 per cent efficiency. It more than made up for the fact he went goal-less for the first time since Round 12.

Harvey has now polled in five consecutive games cutting Andrew Swallow's lead to just eight after the captain picked up one vote for his 24 possession game.

Todd Goldstein had the better of Darren Jolly in the ruck with 40 hit-outs to 24 and 18 possessions to just 4. For his efforts, he received four votes; the third time he's polled that many this season.

The challenge for Goldstein grows another level on Sunday with Aaron Sandilands back for Fremantle. In their last meeting, the North ruckman came out on top and even had a Brownlow vote for his efforts.

Ryan Bastinac and Ben Cunnington rounded out the North Melbourne players receiving two and one votes respectively.
