It’s little wonder Hamish McIntosh has been selected by more than 15 per cent of all Dream Team coaches with his recent form showing why he’s still regarded as one of the league’s best big men.

The North ruckman got off to a slow start against the Bombers, but has fast become one of the most reliable scorers, averaging more than 104-points a game in the last month.

Todd Goldstein’s absence on Saturday gave McIntosh first crack in the ruck and his figures of 17 disposals, 40 hit-outs and five tackles were enough to sit him among the top 10 in the league for round five with 123-points.

Still among the competition’s most affordable ruckman ($382,200) for his output, those who don’t already have McIntosh in their side will no doubt be considering an early-season trade.

Also leading the way for the Kangaroos in this round was Drew Petrie. North’s co vice-captain had been quiet previously, and even a score of 110 against the Suns saw a drop in his price.

Since round one, Petrie’s value has dropped by almost $60,000, meaning a return to form could make him a bargain for those seeking another forward option.

Having featured in last week’s Dream Team Wrap, Lindsay Thomas continued his fine run of the last fortnight with another 100-plus effort.

Thomas’ value increased $25,000 after the Gold Coast match, but another good score against the Eagles could see an even bigger price rise.

Ben Cunnington was another to shine with just the second 100-point tally of his career. The gutsy midfielder’s value has risen by over $60,000 already in 2012.

Jamie Macmillan’s stocks also took another step forward as he registered 94-points, the best score of his career.

At the other end of the scale, Daniel Wells fans would have been a little disappointed.

Wells was one of the Kangaroos’ top-scorers in the opening two rounds, but after being subbed out with just 49-points on Saturday and a quieter than average game the week previous, his price has plummeted nearly $30,000 in a fortnight.

Dream Teamer’s with Goldstein in their team should also take note; the ruckman racked up 64 hit-outs to go with 22 disposals in the VFL on Sunday, meaning a recall to battle the likes of Dean Cox and Nic Naitanui could be on the cards. Don’t trade him just yet.
