North Melbourne has made two changes for Sunday's clash with Gold Coast, with Paul Curtis and former Sun Aaron Hall named as inclusions.
The match at Heritage Bank Stadium will also be champion Roo Todd Goldstein's 300th game.
Curtis was omitted last week but responded well with a five-goal haul - including the first three of the match - in the VFL team's 42-point win over the Sydney Swans.
Hall returns for his first AFL game of the season after an interrupted pre-season battling Achilles soreness, but comes in off strong VFL form which included 37 disposals, nine inside 50s, eight marks and a goal in the reserves' victory.
Co-captain Jy Simpkin is the only forced out, with the midfielder to miss this weekend's game due to a hand fracture.
"It's just going to be a matter of not sweating for the initial week just so that the wound doesn’t get infected, and then how he copes with function and soreness getting into week two," head of performance Kevin White told NMFC Media on Tuesday.
Joining Simpkin out of the side is Hugh Greenwood, who has been the substitute over the past fortnight, and recruit Liam Shiels.
Greenwood and Shiels have been named as the emergencies alongside Charlie Lazzaro and Miller Bergman.
One of the four emergencies will be named as the tactical substitute an hour before the bounce.
