Aaron Mullett is set to make his long awaited return on Saturday, lining up for North Ballarat in the VFL.
Mullett underwent surgery in January to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, and after a long road to recovery is set for his first game of the year.
The skilful defender played 17 games in 2014 and 22 the year previous in a season that saw him finish fourth in the NAB Rising Star Award.
Mullett headlines a long list of strong inclusions into a Roosters’ side looking to rebound from a heavy loss to Williamstown last week.
Aaron Black and Ben Jacobs have been named to turn out for North Ballarat after being omitted from the North Melbourne side, while Trent Dumont will play his first game in a fortnight after being the game day emergency for last week’s clash against Hawthorn.
Meanwhile at Werribee, all eyes will be on Majak Daw as he seeks to replicate his best-on-ground performance from his last start against Port Melbourne.
The Tigers boast a 2-1 win-loss ledger in the early stages of the home and away season and have been receiving solid contributions from North-listed players.
Ed Vickers-Willis has been in good form playing across half-back in a negating role, coming in for high praise from the development coaches.
Coming up against a Box Hill side that has won its first two games, the first-year Roo will need to turn in another strong game for Werribee to claim its third consecutive victory.
Kieran Harper (knee) has been ruled out of Sunday's match.
