North Melbourne VFL captain Jack Watkins has been awarded 10 Coaches' MVP Award votes after his impressive midfield outing against Southport in Round 2.
In the team's first win of 2023, Watkins collected seven clearances and a team-high 30 disposals to earn maximum votes from head coaches Tom Lynch (North Melbourne) and Steven Daniel (Southport).
Continuing his electric start to the season, Sam Lowson polled four votes after bagging four goals to take his total tally to nine. The forward now sits atop the leaderboard along with Collingwood's Finlay Macrae and Richmond's Bigoa Nyoun on 13 votes.
In his second game wearing the blue and white, No.4 draft pick George Wardlaw also earned four votes after recording 24 disposals, six clearances sand six tackles, while experienced defenders Aaron Hall and Jarrod Lienert were given two apiece.
Jacob Dawson (four votes), Zac Foot (three) and Jesse Joyce (one) all polled for the Sharks.
North Melbourne's VFL side will host Carlton on Good Friday with bouncedown slated for 12.30pm (AEST) at Arden Street Oval.
