Luke Davies-Uniacke, Nick Larkey, Harry Sheezel and Charlie Comben have all been awarded AFLCA Champion Player Award votes after Round 1's five-point win over West Coast.
It was Davies-Uniacke who impressed senior coaches Alastair Clarkson and Adam Simpson the most, with the classy midfielder coming away with a perfect 10.
In similar fashion to how he finished 2022, the No.9 began Saturday's clash with nine first-quarter disposals and a goal before finishing with 32 touches, 10 clearances and seven inside 50s.
Sharpshooter Larkey polled eight votes after booting six goals against the Eagles for the second straight time, while debutant Sheezel was awarded six after amassing 34 disposals and nine marks rebounding off half-back in a stunning individual outing.
The 18-year-old's 34 touches on debut place him just behind Greg 'Diesel' Williams and Dean Greig in the record books, who picked up 38 and 39 respectively in their first games.
In what was just his third career game, Comben stepped up in a big way to earn himself one vote, and his first ever AFLCA Champion Player vote. The key forward capitalised on a Cam Zurhaar inside 50 at the beginning of the third term to get his only goal for the afternoon, but it was his outstanding work around the ground as a makeshift ruck that proved pivotal.
The experienced West Coast duo of Jeremy McGovern and Luke Shuey rounded out the voting with three and two respectively.
