In his return from suspension, Lachlan Hansen will be a key up forward for Werribee. On the cusp of senior selection before being cited for rough conduct, he could help the Tigers move within one game of top spot with a win over Sandringham.
With Sam Gibson making his debut for the Kangaroos, more pressure will be placed on Malcolm Lynch, Will Sierakowski and Ben Speight in the Werribee midfield.
Ayden Kennedy and Cam Pedersen have been in good form in recent weeks and Pedersen in particular, could be first in line for a recall with a performance similar to his best-on-ground effort two weeks ago.
At Eureka Stadium, the Roosters will be boosted by the return of both Delaney brothers. North Ballarat’s defence has the worst record statistically in the competition and the Northern Blues’ attack is the lowest scoring.
Aaron Edwards will provide another target up forward with his inclusion in Gerard Fitzgerald’s team. With Lindsay Thomas now missing, Edwards will have to pick up the slack.
Named at full-forward, Tom Curran will be the focal point of the Roosters’ attack. Progressing well in the last few weeks, a bag of goals would be a great sign for his future.
