An elimination final with Geelong is the next task at hand for the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos, who could welcome back a couple of important players for the must-win encounter.

Captain Emma Kearney was sidelined for the Round 10 match against the Tigers last week and will need to prove her fitness if she is to be added to the team for this Saturday night.

Kearney has been dealing with right knee soreness after copping a friendly-fire blow in the dying stages of the 32-point Round 9 win over Collingwood and will face a fitness test later in the week.

Young Irishwoman Erika O'Shea will also be required to face a test after sustaining a knock to the eye on Sunday afternoon.

Newest Shinboner Hannah Bowey will be in line to retain her spot in the backline should O'Shea miss.

The former VFLW Magpie showed notable defensive nous in her first game at senior level, taking three intercept marks when she was patrolling across half-back.

One Roo who is likely to return to the starting squad is ruck Kim Rennie, who was a late withdrawal before the Richmond clash due to health and safety protocols.

She was replaced by small forward Charli Granville who may be left out when it comes to selection this week after a difficult Sunday.

Defender Danielle Hardiman is also a chance to be called upon should Darren Crocker and the match committee opt to inject some valuable experience into the finals line-up.

Hardiman has only featured in the royal blue and white once this season, but it happened to be back in Round 4 when the Roos held Geelong to just 16 points.
