Season in review
In his sixth year at Arden Street, Anthony was made to earn his spot in the senior side through good form at North Ballarat.
Coming off only five games in 2013, the midfielder responded by forcing his way into the North side, making significant improvement on his defensive game, along with his ability to win the ball regularly.
Anthony’s four senior games came between Rounds 11 and 16. The first three appearances were as a substitute. In his final match of the season against Hawthorn, the number four started on the field and collected 12 disposals in just over 50 per cent game time.
Undeterred by his subsequent omission, Anthony returned to the Roosters and continued to dominate at the level, resulting in his best and fairest win. He also finished second in the JJ Liston Trophy.
