After a solid two-goal win over the Cats in Round 4, the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos will have a tough selection decision to make should winger Amy Smith be deemed clear to return.
Smith entered concussion protocols after suffering an accidental boot to the head against Adelaide in Round 3 but has progressed without issue since then and is on track for Round 5.
The young gun pegged her first AFLW goal back in Round 2 at the MCG and had five disposals and two tackles to her name before leaving the field in the second quarter against the Crows.
Smith was last week replaced by defender Danielle Hardiman who made her first appearance for the season after recovering from a knee injury.
Sophia McCarthy (managed) was a very late out last week, leaving the door open for a dramatic debutant in 2021 draftee Ella Maurer.
Maurer collected two disposals for the night and played an important role down forward where she laid two tackles inside 50 (equal game-high).
Injured Roo Ellie Gavalas (hamstring - five weeks) has been progressing well so far, while Cassidy Mailer (bone stress - indefinite) continues to build up her workload.
