North Melbourne has made one change for Friday night's preliminary final, with Ben Jacobs replacing the injured Jamie Macmillan.
Macmillan suffered a hamstring strain in the semi-final victory against Geelong and was substituted out of the game. Brad Scott revealed that the defender was ruled out before the match committee went to selection, with no risks being taken on carrying a player less than 100 per cent into such an important game.
Jacobs returns after being omitted for the semi-final and is likely to play a similar role to Macmillan, spending time off half-back and pushing up to the wing.
Although Joel Tippett's name was floated as a potential inclusion, the key-defender has instead been named as an emergency.
Daniel Currie and Aaron Mullett round out the squad of 25.
Sydney has named an unchanged lineup, with Nick Malceski declared fit after overcoming a hamstring injury.
